Seeding method

Diseases & Treatment
1. Jute humpback insect -
This insect can be seen from mid-June to mid-August, which eats the soft leaves of the crop. So that the soft branches of the plant are removed and the plant becomes shrub-like. This reduces the yield of fibre. For its prevention, Indosulfan 35EC. of 425 ml. Dissolve the quantity in 500 litres of water and spray at the rate of per hectare.
2. Haired sniffer of Bihar -
This insect damages the crop by eating fibres and leaves in a ripening state. For its prevention, Indosulfan 35EC. of 1.5 ml. The quantity should be dissolved in 1000 litres of water and sprinkled at the rate of per hectare.
3. Stem and root rot –
It is a seed and land-borne mold disease that spreads like an epidemic. To prevent this, the seed should be treated with captan (3 grams of medicine per kg seed) before sowing. Spraying a solution of 0.2% of blightaxs on the crop is beneficial.
4. Shyamchar disease -
It is a bacterial disease whose effect is more visible in capsuleris varieties at the end of August. Small brown black rashes appear on the stem, which later become larger and the stem breaks down. The crop cycle should be adopted for prevention. The affected crop should spray a solution of blytax or dethanol M-45.

Weed Control
For the prevention of narrow leaf weeds, an active quantity of 1-1.5 kg of butachlor 50 E.C. should be sprayed before harvesting (within 24-48 hours of sowing).
